Tina Robinson

Tina Robinson was born as Tina Benschoter in Toledo, Ohio on June 12, 1966. She graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1984 and went on to serve in the United States Army. Between 1989–1992, Tina gave birth to three sons. In 1995 she married the love of her life, and they have been together ever since.

Tina overcame a 13-year crack addiction, becoming drug free on December 5, 2004 — a milestone she has maintained ever since. Feeling called by God to pursue social work, she began at Owens Community College in 2007, transferred to Lourdes University, and graduated in 2013 with her bachelor's degree. She has also earned her Chemical Dependency Counselor's Certificate II for Substance Abuse.

In 2012, the Lord led Tina to become deeply involved in anti-human sex trafficking work. In 2015, she founded Butterflies 15 — the only residential housing program in Northwest Ohio housing adult women survivors of human sex trafficking for 9–12 months. Though the residential home closed due to COVID-19 and financial constraints, Butterflies 15 has since opened a Drop-in Center for women who have endured trauma through human trafficking, domestic violence, and substance use.
